Is it possible to screen scrape, web scrape, or data scrape from UNLV library collections and e-resources?

Large-scale downloading of entire issues of journal articles and other forms of data mining using these resources are a violation of the license agreements negotiated between the University Libraries and publishers and other third parties.

Breach of these terms could result in access to these collections being cut off for the entire UNLV community. The Libraries will pursue infractions or misconduct through campus disciplinary channels.

If you are planning a project that involves data mining using licensed resources through the University Libraries, please contact Cory Tucker, head of collections, interlibrary loan, and acquisitions, at 702-895-2133 to discuss what options may be available.

UNLV faculty, staff, and students are encouraged to annually review the University Libraries Licensed Electronic Resources Use Guidelines.
