Off Campus Access: Authenticating to View Library Materials

Links to ebooks and articles found in the Library QuickSearch or library databases will prompt you to log in with your ACE account for access from computers that are not on the campus network.

To authenticate for off campus access:

  • When searching the libraries' catalog or databases to find e-resources, follow the link to the first journal, ebook or full-text journal article you want to view.
  • EZProxy detects when you need to login and you will be routed to a special ACE account login page.
  • After you log in, your credentials will remain active for a period of time, so you will not need to keep logging in with every article or ebook viewed during that session.
  • If you need help with your ACE account, contact campus OIT at 702-895-0777 or go in person to CBC B-113 or SU 231.

Off-campus access to library subscriptions is only available for UNLV faculty, students, staff, and other preapproved, UNLV-affiliated researchers or instructors.

Distance Education users may need to use the Library Barcode Registration & Update Form.

Authenticating for off campus access is a separate process from logging in to view your library record and checkout information - see My Library Card for help with renewals and your profile.
