All NSHE (UNLV, UNR, CSN, NSC, etc.) Students, Faculty and Staff get:
- Ability to login to library computers (ACE account for UNLV; other NSHE affiliates must go to an OIT help desk on campus and request an ACE account)
NSHE users also get:
- In-house access to University Libraries' licensed electronic resources
- In-house and remote access to the Library Catalog and Library web site
- Internet access
- Use of scanners
- Use of productivity software (i.e. Microsoft)
- Guest Wireless
UNLV Students, Faculty and Staff ALSO get:
- Remote access to University Libraries' licensed electronic resources
- Laptop Checkout
- Secure Wireless
Alumni and visiting researchers with an institution ID must ask for a 4 hour pass at the Computer Help Desk
Generally, non-UNLV/NSHE users have the following computer privileges only:
- In-house access to UNLV's licensed electronic resources (occasional exceptions due to some product licenses)
- In-house and remote access to the Library Catalog and Library web site
- Use of public access scanning stations in Lied and ASL
- Computer use is limited to specially designated catalog- and database-only computers in Lied Library and TDRL
- Guest Wireless
- Need-based use of assistive technology computers
- Need-based use of microform reader/scanner computers
