Q. How do I get the RefWorks group or access code?

The new version of RefWorks does not require an access code.

RefWorks is available to all UNLV students, faculty, and staff, and your account can be created from both on or off campus.

Create an account

1. Go to https://refworks.proquest.com/login/
2. Click No account? - sign up here.
3. Enter your UNLV email address (example.name@unlv.edu) and press Check. 
   1. This is how you are verified for access to a free institutional account.
4. RefWorks will recognize your UNLV email address and allow you to create a password.
5. Create a password and click Sign Up.
6. Next, go to your email, open the confirmation email, and click on the link to activate.
